Famous quotes containing the word people:

Some people appear to be more meager in talent than they are, just because the tasks they set themselves are always too great.
    Friedrich Nietzsche (1844–1900)

Directors like Satyajit Ray, Rossellini, Bresson, Buñuel, Forman, Scorsese, and Spike Lee have used non-professional actors precisely in order that the people we see on the screen may be scarcely more explained than reality itself. Professionals, except fo the greatest, usually play not just the necessary role, but an explanation of the role.
    John Berger (b. 1926)

I am going to rain bread from heaven for you, and each day the people shall go out and gather enough for that day.
    Bible: Hebrew, Exodus 16:4.
