Royal Air Maroc

Royal Air Maroc (commonly called RAM; Arabic: الخطوط الملكية المغربية Al-Khuṭũṭ al-Malikiyyah al-Maghribiyyah, literally Royal Moroccan Lines or Royal Moroccan Airlines; Berber: Amuddu Ugenna Ageldan Umerruk, MGGM) is the flag carrier airline of Morocco, headquartered on the grounds of Casablanca-Anfa Airport in Casablanca. It operates scheduled international flights from Morocco to Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America and a domestic flight and charter flight network, (including Hajj flights). Its base is Mohammed V International Airport (CMN), Casablanca.

As of November 2009 Royal Air Maroc merged Atlas Blue's website with RAM's, and all the fleet of Atlas Blue that was painted in "Royal Air Maroc Operated by Atlas Blue" is going to carry the name of Royal Air Maroc only. However all Atlas Blue flights will operate under the IATA code 8A.

Famous quotes containing the words royal and/or air:

When other helpers fail and comforts flee, when the senses decay and the mind moves in a narrower and narrower circle, when the grasshopper is a burden and the postman brings no letters, and even the Royal Family is no longer quite what it was, an obituary column stands fast.
    Sylvia Townsend Warner (1893–1978)

All things are flowing, even those that seem immovable. The adamant is always passing into smoke. The plants imbibe the materials which they want from the air and the ground. They burn, that is, exhale and decompose their own bodies into the air and earth again. The animal burns, or undergoes the like perpetual consumption. The earth burns, the mountains burn and decompose, slower, but incessantly.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
