Atlas Blue was a low-cost airline with its head office on the grounds of Marrakech-Menara Airport in Marrakech, Morocco, operating out of Menara International Airport.
Since the end of 2009, Atlas Blue is a subsidiary of Royal Air Maroc (RAM), operating chartered and scheduled services to Europe. During 2010, Atlas Blue flights were rebranded as Royal Air Maroc flights, with the aircraft being re-painted in RAM livery, too. By the end of 2010, the Atlas Blue brand will cease to exist.
Famous quotes containing the words atlas and/or blue:
“A big leather-bound volume makes an ideal razorstrap. A thin book is useful to stick under a table with a broken caster to steady it. A large, flat atlas can be used to cover a window with a broken pane. And a thick, old-fashioned heavy book with a clasp is the finest thing in the world to throw at a noisy cat.”
—Mark Twain [Samuel Langhorne Clemens] (18351910)
“I think I noticed once
Twas morning one sole street-lamp still bright-lit,
Which, with a senile grin, like an old dunce,
Vied the blue sky, and tried to rival it....”
—Philip Larkin (19221986)
