Rosslare Strand railway station opened on 24 June 1882.
The village is also served by a Bus Éireann route linking it to Wellingtonbridge and Waterford (this bus route replaces the train service to Waterford which ceased in September 2010). A local company operates a bus route to Wexford via Killinick.
