Student Council
The Student Council consists of both elected students and members of the senior staff. Years 7 to 11 each elect two students to represent them at meetings. Years 12-13 are represented by the Head Boy & Girl, who are elected by the Sixth Form. The student council meet regularly and discuss a variety of issues both academic and otherwise. The ideas generated by the council are then considered by the senior management in order to improve areas of the school.

Famous quotes containing the words student and/or council:
“When our kids are young, many of us rush out to buy a cute little baby book to record the meaningful events of our young childs life...But Ive often thought there should be a second book, one with room to record the moral milestones of our childs lives. There might be space to record dates she first shared or showed compassion or befriended a new student or thought of sending Grandma a get-well card or told the truth despite its cost.”
—Fred G. Gosman (20th century)
“There by some wrinkled stones round a leafless tree
With beards askew, their eyes dull and wild
Twelve ragged men, the council of charity
Wandering the face of the earth a fatherless child....”
—Allen Tate (18991979)
