Religious Role Conflict
Religious role conflict occurs when there are changes in the different dimensions of religious roles. Unfortunately, It is not possible to know if changes in one aspect of one's religious commitment result in religious role conflict. But according to previous research, it in fact suggests it does find some support for the idea that changing beliefs lead to role conflict within religion.
Example of Religious Role Conflict: if an individual belongs to a certain religion that practices certain things that other religions don't mention or practice, and want to change or have ideas in changing their preference, this can lead to religious role conflict. Also if a family believes in a certain religion but one of the children do not, this can also lead to religious role conflict.

Famous quotes containing the words religious, role and/or conflict:
“... the generation of the 20s was truly secular in that it still knew its theology and its varieties of religious experience. We are post-secular, inventing new faiths, without any sense of organizing truths. The truths we accept are so multiple that honesty becomes little more than a strategy by which you manage your tendencies toward duplicity.”
—Ann Douglas (b. 1942)
“The role of the intelligencethat part of us which affirms and denies and formulates opinionsis merely to submit.”
—Simone Weil (19091943)
“Whether outside work is done by choice or not, whether women seek their identity through work, whether women are searching for pleasure or survival through work, the integration of motherhood and the world of work is a source of ambivalence, struggle, and conflict for the great majority of women.”
—Sara Lawrence Lightfoot (20th century)
