Events
Like its competitor Red Bull, Rockstar sponsors a range of events, including the Mayhem Festival, a metal and rock festival touring the United States in July and August; the Taste Of Chaos, a hardcore tour now called the "Winter Warped Tour"; and the "Alternative Press Tour," an annual U.S./Canada tour. Starting in 2010, Rockstar will also sponsor the Uproar Festival, which runs from August through October in the US and Canada.

Famous quotes containing the word events:
“Reporters are not paid to operate in retrospect. Because when news begins to solidify into current events and finally harden into history, it is the stories we didn’t write, the questions we didn’t ask that prove far, far more damaging than the ones we did.”
—Anna Quindlen (b. 1952)
“Turn where we may, within, around, the voice of great events is proclaiming to us, Reform, that you may preserve!”
—Thomas Babington Macaulay (1800–1859)
“All the events which make the annals of the nations are but the shadows of our private experiences.”
—Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
