Later Life and Work
After being rejected from a prospective Fellowship at All Souls College, Oxford, Robin Farquharson worked for a brief time as an academic at Cambridge University.
After losing this job Robin worked in various other administrative positions, including being a manager for a call center.
Robin Farquharson also contributed to the counter-cultural Bitman magazine which published a special obituary edition as tribute to Robin after his death in 1973.
His friend, Guy Legge, who knew Robin from his time in Horton mental asylum, thought Robin was an alcoholic and blames his wild mood swings on his dependency.

Famous quotes containing the words life and/or work:
“Now, my co-mates and brothers in exile,
Hath not old custom made this life more sweet
Than that of painted pomp?”
—William Shakespeare (15641616)
“The slightest living thing answers a deeper need than all the works of man because it is transitory. It has an evanescence of life, or growth, or change: it passes, as we do, from one stage to the another, from darkness to darkness, into a distance where we, too, vanish out of sight. A work of art is static; and its value and its weakness lie in being so: but the tuft of grass and the clouds above it belong to our own travelling brotherhood.”
—Freya Stark (b. 18931993)
