On 25 May 2010 it was announced that he was to step down in the fall of 2010 after 22 years with Microsoft. After leaving Microsoft Bach joined the boards of the Boys & Girls Club of America, the U.S. Olympic Committee and Sonos, the maker of wireless digital music systems.
