Famous quotes containing the word change:
“My love is fair, my love is gay,
As fresh as bin the flowers in May
And of my love my roundelay,
My merry, merry, merry roundelay,
Concludes with Cupid’s curse,—
‘They that do change old love for new
Pray gods they change for worse!’”
—George Peele (1559–1596)
“Every great love brings with it the cruel idea of killing the object of its love so that it may be removed once and for all from the wicked game of change: for love dreads change even more than annihilation.”
—Friedrich Nietzsche (1844–1900)
