Personal Life
Davies' mother died in late 2008 at a nursing home in Stratton St Margaret; Davies travelled from his Long Island, New York home every Christmas to visit her. His last trip back was in January 2009 to organise a memorial party for his mother.
Davies currently owns Rick Davies Productions which is the copyright holder of Supertramp's recordings.
He married his wife Sue (who has been Supertramp's manager since 1984) in 1977.

Famous quotes containing the words personal and/or life:
“[The election] ... was an event in which, so far as the personal side is concerned, the victory was to him who lost and the defeat to him who won. I can say that never in the last fifteen years have I had the peace of mind that I have since the election. I have almost a feeling of elation.”
—Herbert Hoover (1874–1964)
“I have given the best of myself and the best work of my life to help obtain political freedom for women, knowing that upon this rests the hope not only of the freedom of men but of the onward civilization of the world.”
—Mary S. Anthony (1827–1907)
