Causes of Retreating Blade Stall
Retreating blade stall is more likely to occur when the following conditions exist either alone or in combination:
- High gross weight
- High airspeed
- Low rotor RPM
- High density altitude
- Steep or abrupt turns
- Turbulent ambient air
