Background

Redemptorist Upper School was established in 1947. Redemptorist is locally famous for the exceptional football teams throughout the years. The Wolves have won 3 state championships; 2002 (Class 3A), 2003 (Class 4A), 2005 (Class 3A).

1950 First class of 10 graduates. 1951-52 4 State Boxing Champions 1957-58 Unit I (first wing) of the permanent school complex opens. 1959-60 Untis II and III of the school open. 1963 Redemptorist become incorporated as Redemptorist Diocesan Interparochial School. Under the new structure, grades 7 to 9 comprise a junior high and grades 10-12 the senior high. 1965 Wolves win Louisiana AA State Baseball Championship. 1965-66 The student center connecting the four wings is completed. 1967-69 Wolves win consecutive State AA Basketball Championships. 1973-74 Patrick B. Kennedy is chosen to become the first lay principal.
