Red Hill Valley - King's Forest

King's Forest is the name of the park lands at the head of the Valley where it meets the Niagara Escarpment. Within the King's Forest park, Red Hill Creek tributaries make three waterfalls over the Escarpment, the most notable being Albion Falls. Buttermilk Falls is near to Albion Falls and is the least known of the three waterfalls, and some don't consider it a waterfall, as it hardly flows at all and, on dry days, doesn't even flow. The other waterfall is called Felker's Falls.

Famous quotes containing the words king and/or forest:

The honest man, though e’er sae poor,
Is king o’ men, for a’ that!
    Robert Burns (1759–1796)

I have come to the conclusion that the closer people are to what may be called the front lines of government ... the easier it is to see the immediate underbrush, the individual tree trunks of the moment, and to forget the nobility the usefulness and the wide extent of the forest itself.... They forget that politics after all is only an instrument through which to achieve Government.
    Franklin D. Roosevelt (1882–1945)
