- Special interest clubs such as Ecology, Club Med, United Nations, Step Team, Crime Stoppers, Leo’s (in partnership with the Lions Club) FCA, Art, and Theater are active at RHS.
- Academic competitions are offered in speech/debate, writing, history, math, science and many other academic subjects.
- An SAT/ACT preparation course is provided free of charge during the school day and on Saturdays.
- A partnership with the Dallas County Community Colleges promotes college preparation and includes courses that award credit at both the college and high school levels.
- Student leadership opportunities are available with the Student Council, Class Executive Committees, Peer Mediation, Crime Stoppers, PAACK, and our Community Service elective.
- The school fields competitive athletic teams in volleyball, football, golf, tennis, track, cross country, baseball, softball, hockey and swimming/diving.
- The National Honor Society, Quill and Scroll, Tri-M (Music) and Mu Alpha Theta (Math) honor societies are active on our campus.
- The class of 2007 earned $1.8 million in scholarships for post secondary educational opportunities.
- RHS earned full accreditation and an exemplary designation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
