Experimental Determination With Quantum Algorithm
A paper claiming that an experimental implementation of a quantum algorithm solving R(m,2) for 3 ≤ m ≤ 8 has been recently pre-published. The research team lead by Zhengbing Bian, of D-Wave Systems used 84 qubits, with a total of 28 qubits used for calculation.

Famous quotes containing the words experimental and/or quantum:
“The very hope of experimental philosophy, its expectation of constructing the sciences into a true philosophy of nature, is based on induction, or, if you please, the a priori presumption, that physical causation is universal; that the constitution of nature is written in its actual manifestations, and needs only to be deciphered by experimental and inductive research; that it is not a latent invisible writing, to be brought out by the magic of mental anticipation or metaphysical mediation.”
—Chauncey Wright (18301875)
“A personality is an indefinite quantum of traits which is subject to constant flux, change, and growth from the birth of the individual in the world to his death. A character, on the other hand, is a fixed and definite quantum of traits which, though it may be interpreted with slight differences from age to age and actor to actor, is nevertheless in its essentials forever fixed.”
—Hubert C. Heffner (19011985)
