Branchburg Quick Chek Incident

A female clerk called officers about a suspicious person at the Quick Chek store at 1296 Easton Turnpike in Branchburg, New Jersey, on January 26, 2010. Officers arrested Lloyd Woodson, and found in his possession and in his motel room a large weapons cache that included illegal weapons and ammunition, a detailed map of Fort Drum, and a traditional red-and-white Middle Eastern headdress. He was charged on multiple state and federal weapons charges. Branchburg Police Chief Brian Fitzgerald honored Quick Chek clerk Linda Yannazzno and employee Michael Murray during a township committee meeting, for calling the police to report Woodson leading to what he referred to as the most significant arrest in the department's history. Yannazzno said she knew that Woodson "had something on him", but was uncertain what it was.

Famous quotes containing the words quick and/or incident:

    Not marble nor the gilded monuments
    Of princes shall outlive this powerful rime;
    But you shall shine more bright in these contents
    Than unswept stone, besmeared with sluttish time.
    When wasteful war shall statues overturn,
    And broils root out the work of masonry,
    Nor Mars his sword nor war’s quick fire shall burn
    The living record of your memory.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

    “It is of the highest importance in the art of detection to be able to recognise out of a number of facts which are incidental and which are vital.... I would call your attention to the curious incident of the dog in the night-time.”
    “The dog did nothing in the night-time.”
    “That was the curious incident.”
    Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1859–1930)
