PWG World Tag Team Championship

The PWG World Tag Team Championship is a professional wrestling world tag team championship contested for in the tag team division of the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla promotion. It was created and debuted on January 25, 2004 at PWG's Tango & Cash Invitational - Night Two event, where B-Boy and Homicide were crowned the inaugural champions.

Being a professional wrestling championship, title reigns are not won legitimately; they are instead won via a scripted ending to a match or awarded to a wrestler because of a storyline. The title has been referred to as the PWG Tag Team Championship and as the PWG World Tag Team Championship since 2004. There have been a total of 28 reigns among 25 different wrestlers and 20 different teams. The current champions are The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson), who are in their third reign both collectively and individually.

Famous quotes containing the words world, tag and/or team:

Camp is a vision of the world in terms of style—but a particular kind of style. It is the love of the exaggerated, the “off,” of things-being-what-they-are-not.
    Susan Sontag (b. 1933)

I believe in the flesh and the appetites,
Seeing, hearing, feeling, are miracles, and each part and tag of me
    is a miracle.

Divine am I inside and out, and I make holy whatever I touch or am touch’d from,
The scent of these arm-pits aroma finer than prayer,
This head more than churches, bibles, and all the creeds.
    Walt Whitman (1819–1892)

Relying on any one disciplinary approach—time-out, negotiation, tough love, the star system—puts the parenting team at risk. Why? Because children adapt to any method very quickly; today’s effective technique becomes tomorrow’s worn dance.
    Ron Taffel (20th century)
