Pure Trance (ピュア・トランス, Pyua Toransu?) is a science-fiction manga by Junko Mizuno. Her debut manga, it appeared as a serial in the booklets of Avex Trax's Pure Trance techno compilation CD series. It was later collected into a bound volume by East Press and published in 1998. The comic is defined as shōjo (for girls), but goes far beyond the conventions of the genre.
Last Gasp published an English translation of Pure Trance in July 2005; the edition was produced by jaPRESS.

Famous quotes containing the words pure and/or trance:
“There is no country in which so absolute a homage is paid to wealth. In America there is a touch of shame when a man exhibits the evidences of large property, as if after all it needed apology. But the Englishman has pure pride in his wealth, and esteems it a final certificate. A coarse logic rules throughout all English souls: if you have merit, can you not show it by your good clothes and coach and horses?”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
“My trance frightens them,
breaks the dance,
empties the market-place;
if I but pass they fall
back, frantically.”
—Hilda Doolittle (18861961)
