Success of The Public Relations Campaign

The U.S. government's public relations campaign was largely successful in getting the American public to accept false beliefs to support the war. Approximately 70% of Americans believe that Saddam Hussein had a role in the 9/11 attacks, even though the Bush administration and congressional investigators say they have no evidence of this. Famous quotes containing the words success of, success, public, relations and/or campaign:

The success of great scholars and thinkers is commonly a courtier-like success, not kingly, not manly. They make shift to live merely by conformity, practically as their fathers did, and are in no sense the progenitors of a nobler race of men.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

A cheerful intelligent face is the end of culture, and success enough. For it indicates the purpose of Nature and wisdom attained.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

The first lady is, and always has been, an unpaid public servant elected by one person, her husband.
    Lady Bird Johnson (b. 1912)

What a man sows, that shall he and his relations reap.
    Clarissa Graves (1892–1985?)

The fact that a man is to vote forces him to think. You may preach to a congregation by the year and not affect its thought because it is not called upon for definite action. But throw your subject into a campaign and it becomes a challenge.
    John Jay Chapman (1862–1933)
