Method of Notice
One method of notice is publication in a local newspaper of record. Public notice can also be given in other ways, including radio, television, and on the Internet. Some governments required publication in a newspaper, though there have been attempts among some politicians to eliminate the expense of publication by switching to electronic forms of notification.

Famous quotes containing the words method of, method and/or notice:
“Argument is conclusive ... but ... it does not remove doubt, so that the mind may rest in the sure knowledge of the truth, unless it finds it by the method of experiment.... For if any man who never saw fire proved by satisfactory arguments that fire burns ... his hearers mind would never be satisfied, nor would he avoid the fire until he put his hand in it ... that he might learn by experiment what argument taught.”
—Roger Bacon (c. 12141294)
“You know, I have a method all my own. If youll notice, the coat came first, then the tie, then the shirt. Now, according to Hoyle, after that the pants should be next. Theres where Im different. I go for the shoes next. First the right, then the left. After that, its every man for himself.”
—Robert Riskin (18971955)
“Ever notice how these European trains always smell of eau de cologne and hard boiled eggs?”
—Billy Wilder (b. 1906)
