Psygone

Psygone

'Psygone', real name Michael Kjeldgaard, is a psychedelic trance artist from Denmark. The project was active from 1995 to 1999ยท The music was in the typical Goa/trance genre and was inspired by Astral Projection, X-dream, Miranda, and Man With No Name.

In 2008 Psygone is back with new tracks, planning a release late summer 2008.

The project was founded in 1994 by Michael Kjeldgaard and Robert Christensen. In the beginning the sound was heavily inspired by the German trance scene and their goal was to produce vibrating music, a hybrid between melodic trance and acid. The guys performed at different venues around Denmark but couldn't get a record deal, so in 1995, Robert left Psygone and Michael began working on a new and much improved sound, which landed him his first record deal on Hypnotic Records. In 1996 Jan Bachmann joined Psygone and added Positive Energy and Good Karma to the Project.

The first album "Optimystique" was released in 1997 and one year later the follow-up "Organique" was ready. Unfortunately this was never released as an album, but on tracks appeared on various compilations.

Psygone has performed at Festivals and Goa Events in Denmark alongside with names such as Pascal F.E.O.S., Der Dritte Raum, Armitage Shanks, Tom Wax and many more...
