Pristimantis

Pristimantis is a frog genus from northern South America and adjacent regions.

It is part of the family Strabomantidae, which was recently recognized as being distinct from the saddleback toads (Brachycephalidae), where the Strabomantis had formerly been classified. The genus Pristimantis itself was long included in the massive genus Eleutherodactylus, and considered part of the Leptodactylidae family.
