Famous quotes containing the word family:

Respectable means rich, and decent means poor. I should die if I heard my family called decent.
    Thomas Love Peacock (1785–1866)

I sometimes believed what I said and tried to take the cure in the very real sun of Desert D’Or with its cactus, its mountain, and the bright green foliage of its love and its money.
    Norman Mailer (b. 1923)

The family spirit has rendered man carnivorous.
    Francis Picabia (1878–1953)
