Dustin Byfuglien became the first ex-Cougar to win the Stanley Cup while he was a member of the 2009-2010 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks. He was followed by Zdeno Chara, captain of the Boston Bruins, who won the Stanley Cup in the 2010-2011 post season.
