Price Equation - Full Price Equation

Full Price Equation

The simple Price equation was based on the assumption that the characters zi do not change over one generation. Famous quotes containing the words full, price and/or equation:

Be not afeard; the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight, and hurt not.
    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears; and sometime voices,
That, if I then had waked after long sleep,
    Will make me sleep again.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

    The price on the wanted
poster was a-going down, outlaw alias copped my stance
and moody greenhorns were making me dance; while my mouth’s
shooting iron got its chambers jammed.
    Ishmael Reed (b. 1938)

This week, the equation was twofold: female infidelity twice as bad as male abuse, the life of a woman half as valuable as that of a man. The killing of the woman taken in adultery has a long history and survives today in many cultures. One of those is our own.
    Anna Quindlen (b. 1952)
