Presidential Directive
Presidential Directives, better known as Presidential Decision Directives or PDD are a form of an executive order issued by the President of the United States with the advice and consent of the National Security Council. The directives articulate the executive's national security policy and carry the "full force and effect of law".
Since many of the Presidential Directives pertain to the national security of the United States, many were or are secret ("classified").

Famous quotes containing the word presidential:
“Because of these convictions, I made a personal decision in the 1964 Presidential campaign to make education a fundamental issue and to put it high on the nations agenda. I proposed to act on my belief that regardless of a familys financial condition, education should be available to every child in the United Statesas much education as he could absorb.”
