Background
Amritaj is the son of Indian tennis great Vijay Amritraj, who played at Wimbledon for 17 years and in the Davis Cup for 20 years. He is also the cousin of fellow tour pro Stephen Amritraj, whose father Anand was also a professional player. Prakash also has one brother, Vikram, who was born in 1987.
Amritraj is a non-resident Indian who formerly represented India in tournaments and the Davis Cup. He played college tennis for the University of Southern California where he majored in business.
