Power Book 170 - Design

Design

Though released at the same time as the PowerBook 140 and PowerBook 100, both the 140 and 170 were designed entirely by Apple, while the 100 was being miniaturized by Sony from the full-sized Macintosh Portable. As a result, the 170 represents the very first created by Apple, with the 100 actually representing the first design improvements, though its internal architecture is the oldest in the series.

Famous quotes containing the word design:

With wonderful art he grinds into paint for his picture all his moods and experiences, so that all his forces may be brought to the encounter. Apparently writing without a particular design or responsibility, setting down his soliloquies from time to time, taking advantage of all his humors, when at length the hour comes to declare himself, he puts down in plain English, without quotation marks, what he, Thomas Carlyle, is ready to defend in the face of the world.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

    Westerners inherit
    A design for living
    Deeper into matter—
    Not without due patter
    Of a great misgiving.
    Robert Frost (1874–1963)

Delay always breeds danger; and to protract a great design is often to ruin it.
    Miguel De Cervantes (1547–1616)
