Senior Management - Commissioned officers
  • General (Gen)
  • Lieutenant General (Lt Gen)
  • Major General (Maj Gen)
  • Brigadier
Commissioned Officers
  • Colonel (Col)
  • Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col)
  • Major (Maj)
  • Captain
  • Lieutenant (Lt)
Non-commissioned officers
  • Warrant Officer (W/O)
  • Sergeant (Sgt)
  • Constable (Const)

Prior to April 2010, the rank structure was as follows:

  • National Commissioner
  • Deputy National Commissioner
  • Divisional Commissioner or Provincial Commissioner
  • Assistant Commissioner
  • Director
  • Senior Superintendent
  • Superintendent
  • Captain
  • Inspector
  • Sergeant
  • Constable
  • Student
