College Career

Vlahakis attended Fairfield University where he was ranked seventh in the nation with a face-off win percentage of .633 in 2003 and was ranked as one of the top-10 face-off men in the NCAA in each of his four seasons with the Stags. Vlahakis was a two-time All-New England selection and pre-season All-American in 2002.
