Famous quotes containing the words perceived and/or measures:

I have a sense of going my own way, and I don’t really think much about whether it’s going against the grain. I don’t really want to spend a lot of time worrying about how I am perceived by other people.
    Kathleen Collins (1931–1988)

To the eyes of a god, mankind must appear as a species of bacteria which multiply and become progressively virulent whenever they find themselves in a congenial culture, and whose activity diminishes until they disappear completely as soon as proper measures are taken to sterilise them.
    Aleister Crowley (1875–1947)
