Pentridge
Pentridge is a village (technically, a hamlet) in north east Dorset, England, situated on Cranborne Chase on the A354 road ten miles north east of Blandford Forum and twelve miles south west of Salisbury. The village has a population of 215 (As of 2001). The name is Celtic, meaning "hill of the wild boar", and its existence was recorded before the time of Alfred the Great, as "Pentric".
