Environmental Effects of Pedestrian Mall
Pedestrian malls are places designated for people to walk and traffic will not be able to penetrate this place. Therefore, it affects environment positively. Air polluted by cars damages buildings. Removing vehicles from the community will decrease air pollution and maintain buildings in good condition. Furthermore, it contributes to reduce noise pollution too. Walkers can enjoy the surroundings without being interrupted by noisy cars. Once a clear environment is accomplished, it will also exert healthy influences on people such as decreasing obesity levels, stress, and lung diseases.

Famous quotes containing the words effects, pedestrian and/or mall:
“One of the effects of a safe and civilised life is an immense oversensitiveness which makes all the primary emotions somewhat disgusting. Generosity is as painful as meanness, gratitude as hateful as ingratitude.”
—George Orwell (19031950)
“However global I strove to become in my thinking over the past twenty years, my sons kept me rooted to an utterly pedestrian view, intimately involved with the most inspiring and fractious passages in human development. However unconsciously by now, motherhood informs every thought I have, influencing everything I do. More than any other part of my life, being a mother taught me what it means to be human.”
—Mary Kay Blakely (20th century)
“Finishing schools in the fifties were a good place to store girls for a few years before marrying them off, a satisfactory rest stop between college weekends spent husband hunting. It was a haven for those of us adept at styling each others hair, playing canasta, and chain smoking Pall Mall extra-long cigarettes.”
—Barbara Howar (b. 1934)
