Pattern Matching and Strings

However, it is possible to perform some string pattern matching within the same framework that has been discussed throughout this article.

Famous quotes containing the words pattern and/or strings:

Every child has an inner timetable for growth—a pattern unique to him. . . . Growth is not steady, forward, upward progression. It is instead a switchback trail; three steps forward, two back, one around the bushes, and a few simply standing, before another forward leap.
    Dorothy Corkville Briggs (20th century)

When my lover came to bed,
    the knot came untied
    all by itself.
    My dress,
held up by the strings of a loosened belt,
    barely stayed on my hips.
    Friend,
that’s as much as I know now.
    When he touched my body,
    I couldn’t at all remember
    who he was,
    who I was,
    or how It was.
    Amaru (c. seventh century A.D.)
