Patrick Connolly

Patrick Connolly is a former Attorney General of Ireland who was appointed by Charles Haughey. Connolly resigned after Malcolm McArthur, who had been a house-guest of Connolly's, was later convicted of the murder of a nurse, Bridie Gargan (see GUBU).

Connolly returned to practice at the Irish bar and still works today as a Senior Counsel in Dublin.

    —Pamela Patrick Novotny (20th century)

We create the world in which we live; if that world becomes unfit for human life, it is because we tire of our responsibility.
    —Cyril Connolly (1903–1974)
