Corps At The Crest
Corps At The Crest is a series of two home shows for Pacific Crest. In recent years, Corps at the Crest Oceanside has taken place at El Camino High School (Oceanside), while Corps at the Crest Walnut takes place at Mt. San Antonio College. Usually held toward the beginning of the DCI season in late June, the shows feature performances from every California-based DCI open and world class corps, as well as appearances by The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps, based in Arizona. As of the 2011 season, eastern corps such as The Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps and the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps have included Corps at the Crest in their national tours.

Famous quotes containing the words corps and/or crest:
“Ce corps qui sappelait et qui sappelle encore le saint empire romain nétait en aucune manière ni saint, ni romain, ni empire. This agglomeration which called itself and still calls itself the Holy Roman Empire was in no way holy, nor Roman, nor an empire.”
—Voltaire [François Marie Arouet] (16941778)
“What shall he have that killed the deer?
His leather skin and horns to wear.
Then sing him home.
Take thou no scorn to wear the horn,
It was a crest ere thou wast born;
Thy fathers father wore it,
And thy father bore it.
The horn, the horn, the lusty horn
Is not a thing to laugh to scorn.”
—William Shakespeare (15641616)
