Famous quotes containing the words tales, flying and/or fox:

Ireland is where strange tales begin and happy endings are possible.
    Charles Haughey (b. 1925)

And more I may not write of, for they that cleave
The waters of sleep can make a chattering tongue
Heavy like stone, their wisdom being half silence.
How shall I name you, immortal, mild, proud shadows?
I only know that all we know comes from you,
And that you come from Eden on flying feet.

    William Butler Yeats (1865–1939)

His berd as any sowe or fox was reed,
And therto brood, as though it were a spade.
Upon the cop right of his nose he hade
A werte, and theron stood a toft of herys
Reed as the brustles of a sowes erys.
His nosethirles blake were and wyde.
    Geoffrey Chaucer (1340?–1400)
