Structure
The OBESSU is structured with a General Assembly as the highest decision making body. The General Assembly meets annually and decides about statutes, the political platform and the workplan, as well as elects the Board of OBESSU, which is the highest decision making body within OBESSU between the GA and COMEM. The Board is elected annually with overlapping mandates. In this way not all Board members are elected in the same year. The Board consists of 5 or 7 members.
Between every General Assembly there is a Council of Members (COMEM), which is the second highest decision-making body within OBESSU. The Board and the Secretary General coordinate the daily work of the organisation. OBESSU has a European secretariat based in Brussels. Besides the Secretary General, Viviana Galli, the secretariat consists of a Project & Policy Officer and Policy Officer of Vocational Education and Training.

Famous quotes containing the word structure:
“A committee is organic rather than mechanical in its nature: it is not a structure but a plant. It takes root and grows, it flowers, wilts, and dies, scattering the seed from which other committees will bloom in their turn.”
—C. Northcote Parkinson (19091993)
“... the structure of a page of good prose is, analyzed logically, not something frozen but the vibrating of a bridge, which changes with every step one takes on it.”
—Robert Musil (18801942)
“Slumism is the pent-up anger of people living on the outside of affluence. Slumism is decay of structure and deterioration of the human spirit. Slumism is a virus which spreads through the body politic. As other isms, it breeds disorder and demagoguery and hate.”
—Hubert H. Humphrey (19111978)
