Organisation For The Preservation Of Birds And Their Habitat
Burung Indonesia (Indonesian for: BirdLife Indonesia Association), official name: Perhimpunan Pelestarian Burung Liar dan Habitatnya or BirdLife Indonesia Association, is the Indonesian society for the protection of birds. The organisation, which is a partner of the international organisation Birdlife International, was founded on July 15, 2002 and has its head quarters in Bogor, Java. In 2006 the organisation had about 40 employees and over 1500 supporters, that are united in the Sahabat Burung Indonesia, the Friends of Burung Indonesia.
