In New Tech classrooms, teachers design rigorous projects aligned to state and district standards and customize them to their location and the interests of students. Students then work in teams to acquire and apply knowledge and skills to solve problems. students, teachersNew Tech's approach to PBL fundamentally changes the role of teacher and student. Famous quotes containing the word education:

Toward education marriage nervous breakdown, operation, teaching
school, and learning to be mad, in a dream—what is this
    life?
    Allen Ginsberg (b. 1926)

As long as learning is connected with earning, as long as certain jobs can only be reached through exams, so long must we take this examination system seriously. If another ladder to employment was contrived, much so-called education would disappear, and no one would be a penny the stupider.
    —E.M. (Edward Morgan)

There are words in that letter to his wife, respecting the education of his daughters, which deserve to be framed and hung over every mantelpiece in the land. Compare this earnest wisdom with that of Poor Richard.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
