In one episode, Ned mentions his membership in a fraternity, although Oral Roberts University does not have formal fraternities. In another episode, Flanders' degree can be seen hanging on the wall of the Simpsons' home, as Homer scratches out the name "Ned Flanders" and scribbles in his own.
