McCall was raised on the South Side of Chicago, and is married with four daughters and three sons. One daughter, Jeneva McCall, was a three-time NCAA champion and four-time 1st team All-American in track at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. One son, Mikael McCall, is a sophomore running back for Southern Illinois University Carbondale, after playing his freshman year at the University of Iowa. McCall has one other son, Elijah McCall is currently a professional boxer as well.
