Admission
The 120 students who enter OSA each year are chosen on the basis of set criteria from an excess of applicants. Prospective students are evaluated using a written general cognitive abilities test (Standardized Admission Exam), in addition to grade 9 marks and a character assessment from a Junior High counselor or principal. Only applications from students with an overall average of at least 80%, from Science, Math, Social, French (if taken), and Language Arts, are considered. For grade 10 applicants, an overall average of 80% is required, although summer-school courses are not included.

Famous quotes containing the word admission:
“Powerful, yes, that is the word that I constantly rolled on my tongue, I dreamed of absolute power, the kind that forces others to kneel, that forces the enemy to capitulate, finally converting him, and the more the enemy is blind, cruel, sure of himself, buried in his conviction, the more his admission proclaims the royalty of he who has brought on his defeat.”
—Albert Camus (19131960)
“Prayer is not asking. It is a longing of the soul. It is daily admission of ones weakness ... It is better in prayer to have a heart without words than words without a heart.”
—Mohandas K. Gandhi (18691948)
“A completely indifferent attitude toward clothes in women seems to me to be an admission of inferiority, of perverseness, or of a lack of realization of her place in the world as a woman. Orwhat is even more hopeless and patheticits an admission that she has given up, that she is beaten, and refuses longer to stand up to the world.”
—Hortense Odlum (1892?)
