School Information
The current high school facility, initially constructed during the 1970s, rests on 47 acres (190,000 m2) in northwest Oak Harbor. The school was remodeled, with the addition of the Student Union Building and the Career & Tech building opening in 2009. In 2008, North Campus was opened in the old Clover Valley Elementary school. Students in grades 9 and 10 had their core classes at North Campus, and were then bussed back to the main campus for lunch, electives, and lab sciences.

Famous quotes containing the words school and/or information:
“For those parents from lower-class and minority communities ... [who] have had minimal experience in negotiating dominant, external institutions or have had negative and hostile contact with social service agencies, their initial approaches to the school are often overwhelming and difficult. Not only does the school feel like an alien environment with incomprehensible norms and structures, but the families often do not feel entitled to make demands or force disagreements.”
—Sara Lawrence Lightfoot (20th century)
“Phenomenal nature shadows him wherever he goes. Clouds in the staring sky transmit to one another, by means of slow signs, incredibly detailed information regarding him. His inmost thoughts are discussed at nightfall, in manual alphabet, by darkly gesticulating trees. Pebbles or stains or sunflecks form patterns representing in some awful way messages which he must intercept. Everything is a cipher and of everything he is the theme.”
—Vladimir Nabokov (18991977)
