NZR DM Class
The New Zealand DM/D class (also known as English Electrics) were a class of electric multiple units used on the Metlink rail passenger network of Wellington, New Zealand between 1938 and 2012, formed of DM power cars and D trailers. They were owned by the New Zealand Railways Department, New Zealand Railways Corporation, New Zealand Rail, Tranz Rail, Toll NZ and finally the Greater Wellington Regional Council and operated by Tranz Metro, a division of national railway operator KiwiRail. The units were known as the 36, 42 and 46 stock from the year that they were ordered.
