Northern Trust strives to give approximately 1.5% of its pre-tax profits to charities every year. In 2007, Northern Trust’s global philanthropy program awarded $17.5 million dollars, a 13.7% increase over 2006, and $223,000 worth of in-kind gifts were donated.
