North Carolina Highway 67 - Miscellaneous

Miscellaneous

  • The road is known for its lack of any major sharp curves throughout. The road rolls up and down many hills in a near-perfect straight line.
  • In Jonesville the route has the street name Winston Road. In Boonville it is known as Main Street.
  • Originally, Reynolda Road and Silas Creek Parkway intersected in front of Wake Forest University, and N.C. 67 continued to follow Reynolda Road to downtown. Around 1998, an extension was added to connect Silas Creek Parkway to North Point Boulevard; the new route meant that Silas Creek no longer had a direct interchange with Reynolda Road. To remedy this, a short connector called Wake Forest Road was built along the parkway's old route, connecting the two to maintain NC 67's route.
  • The speed limit for most of the road is 55 mph (89 km/h). In some areas the speed limit decreases to 45 mph (72 km/h) and within municipalities the speed limit is usually 35 mph (56 km/h).
