Noma (restaurant) - Food

Food

The cuisine of Noma is Nordic/Scandinavian; the restaurant's founders René Redzepi and Claus Meyer have attempted to redefine this Nordic cuisine. The cuisine of Noma can be considered more an interpretation of Nordic food than classical Nordic food itself, according to Meyer in the book Noma – Nordic Cuisine. Famous dishes include 'The Hen and the Egg'. The cuisine of Noma embodies many of the principles of wildculture.

Famous quotes containing the word food:

When no food is given to the ear,
Then let a little be given to the stomach.
    Tiruvalluvar (c. 5th century A.D.)

Taking food alone tends to make one hard and coarse. Those accustomed to it must lead a Spartan life if they are not to go downhill. Hermits have observed, if for only this reason, a frugal diet. For it is only in company that eating is done justice; food must be divided and distributed if it is to be well received.
    Walter Benjamin (1892–1940)

Arguably the only goods people need these days are food and nappies.
    Terence, Sir Conran (b. 1931)
