Early Life

Nikki has described her early childhood as the "happiest ever", however a series of upsets followed, when at the age of eight, her parents divorced and her grandfather, whom she was extremely close to, died from cancer. Nikki was raised by her mother, Susan, after her parents' separation. Nikki attended Northwood School, Potter Street, Northwood Hills, London. Nikki—who has been described as a "daddy's girl"—was greatly hurt by the split.

Famous quotes containing the words early and/or life:

    We can slide it
Rapidly backwards and forwards: we call this
Easing the spring. And rapidly backwards and forwards
The early bees are assaulting and fumbling the flowers:
They call it easing the Spring.
    Henry Reed (1914–1986)

All that a pacifist can undertake—but it is a very great deal—is to refuse to kill, injure or otherwise cause suffering to another human creature, and untiringly to order his life by the rule of love though others may be captured by hate.
    Vera Brittain (1896–1970)
